In 1974, Production Engineering, Inc. opened its doors to 1,500 square-feet of rental space in a downtown Jackson building, which was shared by two other start-up businesses.Today, Production Engineering houses 85 state-of-the-art machine systems and over 100 highly-skilled employees who average more than 13 years of experience in the manufacturing industry-each. By offering flexible manufacturing services and reliable, high-quality products at competitive prices, we have been able to thrive in an industry, that is sometimes unreliable, for over 30 years. We also operate in three-shifts to assure the quickest turnaround times possible.
We primarily focus on producing drive-train, steering components and assemblies for the Heavy Truck, Construction Equipment and Material Handling Equipment industries, but because our machining capabilities are so flexible, we are not limited to these areas.
Production Engineering is more than a machine shop. We serve clients both domestically and internationally and are known for our capability to machine difficult parts with critical features in a "Real World" cost environment…bringing a project out of the prototype stages and into production. Production Engineering has strong flexibility in our practices and continually invests in its' operations, showing our growth strategy and commitment to our customers. Our niche is in "large, specialized, precision component machining in a mid to low volume market".
